Block Producer Infrastructure
We are planning to implement a hybrid bare-metal/cloud infrastructure. Our EOS nodes will run on bare-metal hardware in various Midwestern data centers, with health monitoring and automatic failover using multiple cloud providers for redundancy. Block producing nodes will be kept isolated from public traffic, while API nodes will be available to serve public requests.
We are currently operating using cloud hosted infrastructure for greater agility and flexibility while the company is being bootsrapped. Post funding, we plan to colocate our bare-metal nodes at the most connected data centers in our region, in order to provide the lowest latency responses to the EOS network.
Planned Baremetal Hardware
The following hardware will be located in two regional data centers. Virtualization will be leveraged to enable us to effectively repurpose our physical hardware for the network’s needs.
